SMK - KrAZ-6322 Army Truck - scale 1/87
The KrAZ-6322 “Soldat” high-mobility tactical vehicle and its modifications are intended for transportation of personnel of military units, various cargos and heavy artillery systems of up to 203 mm caliber. It can be used as a ballast prime mover for aircrafts transportation on airfields.
Configuration – 6x6, engine (YaMZ, Cummins, Deutz) up to 370 h.p., an inter-axle differential on rear axle, a centralized tyre inflation system, a winch with tractive force up to 12 t.
The vehicle can be successfully operated within temperature range of -50 to +60C at an altitude of up to 5000 m above sea level. It can overcome water obstacles up to 1,5 m and snow cover up to 0,6 m.
Maximum side slope – 25, maximum gradient - 35.
The 6322 is just a member of a long line of successful trucks and has been a successfully exported. Its currently in service with Angola, Egypt, India, Indonesia and Yemen, as well as Ukraine.
Basic design can accept a wide variety of body types. The standard body is fitted with drop sides and a removable tarpaulin with bows. Wooden bench seats may be fitted for troop transportation. Vehicle can carry up to 24 troops. A three-person cab is standard across the range.
The kit is packed in a carton box.
The box contents 2 plastic bags with the plastic parts in different colors an instructionsheet and decals.
Also included are 3 resin parts, 2 for the cabin, 1 for the cargobed cover.
Wheels are in vinyl with fine detail. A moldingseem has to be removed.
The plastic parts are sharp casted and nice detailed, clear windows are included. Some parts are very small. All parts are separate and not on a sprue. Some parts has a few thin flash, so take care when cleaning them up.
Above we have the 3 resinparts. Detail is high, interior is basic - just a seat, steeringwheel and some controls.
Cargobed and chassis. Very nicely casted with minimum clean-up.
